This was my first finished artwork using acrylic paint, which I had always struggled with. The medium and motif were both due to me working at the studio of artist Hilde Bauer through winning the regional art competition “Jugend Kunstpreis 2019” – Youth Art Award 2019.
She taught me the dry-brush technique for acrylic and oil painting. Although I found it difficult to finish it due to a lack of motivation I am glad to have taken my mentor’s advice on painting something I didn’t particularly like, as it has turned out to be one of my favourites.
